Kayak & Canoe Classes

If you ever wanted to start kayaking, this is your chance. Learn the right way with an emphasis on safety. No experience is require. You will learn about the gear, safety, river signals, and everything that you need to know before hitting the river. We will work on strokes, river dynamics, river reading, and boat control. This is a two day class that starts with a lake paddle prepares you for class II rapids.

The classes will be held at Smokey Mountain Meadows Campground, 755 East Alarka Rd., Bryson City, NC 28713. This location gives us access to predictable dam released river levels and lakes for the classes.
