North Cobb Post 304, the American Legion Post that serves Acworth and Kennesaw, has partnered with Sidelines Sports Grille to offer a Merry Christmas to several families whose loved ones are serving our country.

Through Dec. 20, purchase a $5 raffle ticket for a chance to win three great prizes. The first prize winner will get a fire fly dispenser. The second prize winner will receive a charcoal grill. And the third prize winner will get a Heineken mirror.

“With all the funds derived from the raffle, we will provide gifts for the children and parents, Christmas dinner, and additional groceries for several local families of the Georgia National Guard," said Cmdr. Ron Asby of American Legion Post 304. "It is just our way of saying, 'Thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country.' Hopefully Christmas will be a little merrier for these deserving families.”

Tickets are available from any American Legion Post 304 officer. You can reach one at 770-331-5090.

If you call Sidelines Sports Grille at 770-919-8688, ask for owner Carlos Lopez, general manager Fred Rizzo or project coordinator Lindsey Crooks. Details are also available on Sidelines' website.

"This Christmas Season is the sixth year for Sidelines Sports Grille of Kennesaw’s “Adopt A Military Family” outreach program," Asby said. "It is especially gratifying that they have asked Post 304 to be a part of this worthy endeavor this year because it has become quite apparent that we are two organizations that share the same values."

“We, too, are all about service to local veterans, active duty military and their families. We are always looking for new ways to expand our outreach to those in need."
