Program: What the Georgia Archives Website Has to Offer.

Kayla Barrett of the Georgia Archives located in Morrow, Georgia, will educate the participants on what the Georgia Archives website offers for the home user. She will explain the use of the Virtual Vault. Barrett has served as Assistant Director for Archival Services since 2014 and has worked at the Archives since 1996. Prior to that, she was Special Collections Archivist at Auburn University for five years, Librarian for University Archives at Oklahoma State University for two years, and worked at the University of Oklahoma’s Western History Collections for three years. Originally from Wichita, Kansas, she has Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees in History from Wichita State University and a Masters in Library and Information Studies from the University of Oklahoma. As Assistant Director, Barrett is in charge of public services, and of arrangement and description of the Archives’ state records and manuscript collections holdings.
