Recipe: Heath Bar Apple Dip

This can be a take-to-a-party dip or a healthy addition to holiday meals because of the apples.

I must admit I'm not much of a cook. I usually take finger foods to Christmas parties, and I buy my holiday desserts from a store.

But this recipe has always been a favorite with my kids and with family members who like to "graze" while waiting for Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner.

If you like Heath candy bars, you'll love this tasty dip. You can dip apples or any other fruit that you have in mind. Try it and and let me know what you think!

1/2 cup sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

1/2 bag Hearthbar Bits

Apple wedges (granny smith, red delicious, or roma)

Directions:

Cream together cream cheese, sugars, and vanilla. Stir Heathbar Bits in with a spoon. Serve with apple wedges cut into small slices. (Cut apples into pineapple juice to keep them from turning brown). You might want to double the recipe for a large group or party dish.
