Stone Forest Helps Customers Do It Themselves

The Kennesaw business is teaching a free class Saturday on installing patios.

Now that cooler weather is upon us, it's time to enjoy your outside spaces again. Want to put in a patio over a concrete area? Stone Forest Materials in Kennesaw can show you how this weekend.

On Saturday, the Main Street business will offer a free do-it-yourself Flagstone patio class for those interested in tackling such a project. Taught by featured ProMatch Partner Charles Stephens of Specialty Outdoor Services, the class is in two parts: From 10 a.m. to noon, attendees learn how to install a dry-set flagstone patio on any area of their yard. From 1 to 3 p.m., it will become a mortared Flagstone patio class, perfect for an existing concrete area that you want to convert.

This is the last time the classes will be offered this year, according to Susette Rebuelta of Stone Forest. "This is one of our most popular do-it-yourself classes because people don't want to pay a contractor to do this," said Rebuelta, adding people can attend both or just one of the classes this Saturday. Registration is required and can be done by visiting the website at www.stoneforest.net or by calling 770-590-1700.
