Francis Shoup and the Chattahoochee River Line

On August 10, 2013, the Kennesaw Historical Society and the Southern Museum are sponsoring a lecture entitled Francis Shoup and the Chattahoochee River Line, with author Michael Shaffer.  Mr. Shaffer is the Assistant Director of the Civil War Center at Kennesaw State University.

Confederate Brigadier General Francis Shoup was the designer of the Shoupade design for fortifications along the Chattahoochee River. 

The program will start at 2:00, and will be in the Kennesaw Depot. It is free to the public. Parking is available behind the Museum if the Depot lot is full.
