Parents of Suspect in Pipe Bomb Case Arrested in River Green
The parents of a 14-year-old boy suspected of making what appeared to be "extremely dangerous" explosive devices has been arrested, a spokeswoman for the Canton Police Department said tonight.
The boy's parents, Brian and Sandra Howell, were arrested this evening and charged with six counts of possession and manufacture of a destructive device as well as two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Camera Discovered in East Cobb Salon
are continuing their investigation into the placement of a recording device in a private room of an East Cobb salon.
The camera was discovered in a light in Suite 110 of the Salon Avenue Suites on Sandy Plains Road near East Piedmont Road, according to Cobb County Police Sgt. Dana Pierce. According to 11 Alive News, women typically received Brazilian wax treatments within the suite in question.

Ex-Officer Released After 18 Months in Prison in Fellow Officer's Death
Kenneth Reda of Acworth, the former Cobb police sergeant convicted in connection with the drowning death of a fellow officer, is being released from prison today after serving 18 months of his sentence, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
On Jan. 28, 2011, for lying to the law enforcement, second-degree homicide by vessel, and violation of office by a public officer in the death of his best friend Brent Stephens on Lake Allatoona.

Man Gets 8 Years for Role in 3-Year-Old's Beating
Chad Eugene Pierre-Louis, 25, was convicted on charges of second-degree child cruelty and received 10 years, with eight to be served behind bars, as well as a $1,000 fine for his part in the beating of a 3-year-old boy on the side of the road last November, according to a report in theDouglas County Sentinel.
Pierre-Louis was present when Suzie Elie, 24, was seen by witnesses hitting her son with a switch on the side of the road, according to the Facebook page.
