The New Council and the Mayor
I'm going to keep this one short since this is more of a vocalization than an article. As a native of Kennesaw, but resident of Kennesaw for the past several years -due to me moving away for college and coming back after Hannah was adopted, I must say that the politics have had me both concerned as well as uncomfortable not only because I am a tax payer but also because of my two daughters. Not only does our Mayor have a frightening history of wrongdoing, but there were rumors of him trying to elect his own council for more control. Needless to say, that didn't settle well with me at all. I am happy to see that one of the individuals I voted for is in office, and, as the only woman and a strong voice, I know she's going to make her voters and the residents of Kennesaw proud. As for Church, after hearing about his lawsuit and wrong doings, I must say he will have to earn my respect and trust; however, in the case of Sebastian, I believe that his position would have been flexible between Duckett and himself.
With that said, the new council are said to be the council the mayor has no control over. I'm curious as to how well they will work together behind closed doors.
