Update: Armed Robbery at Kennesaw Bank of America

Cobb police are searching for two armed men who robbed the Busbee Parkway bank.

Cobb County police are searching for two armed men who robbed a Kennesaw Bank of America earlier this morning.

Police received reports there had been a robbery at the bank at 2597 George Busbee Parkway at about 9:20 a.m., Sgt. Dana Pierce of the Cobb County police told Kennesaw Patch.

According to police, two men armed with handguns entered the bank and immediately yelled for everyone inside to get on the floor. One male remained in the lobby to watch over those individuals on the ground, while the second male jumped over the teller counter.Β  The man then took an undisclosed amount of cash.

The men fled the business on foot, heading eastbound toward Town Center Drive, said police.

The first man is described as a 5'9 black man with a slim to medium build. He was last seen wearing a long sleeve blue button up shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, gloves, and a mask over his face.

The second man is described as a white or very light skinned black male, 5’10-tall, with a medium build.Β  He was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants, black watch cap, gloves, and a mask over his face.

Just minutes after the robbery, Cobb police began receiving information that the men were traveling in a vehicle headed northbound on I-75, said Pierce.

"At some point, the tracking devices stopped working, somewhere up around 75 and Wade Green," said Pierce.
