Cobb Deputies Complete Training
They graduated Friday from the North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Academy.

Four Cobb County Sheriff's Office deputies graduated Friday from the North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Academy.
Deputies Ryan K. Brown, Timothy J. Kelly, Trent A. Smith and Jerome Von Young II completed 10 weeks of training on state laws, criminal procedures, firearms, emergency vehicle operations, defensive tactics and other topics, said Nancy Bodiford, the spokeswoman for the Cobb County Sheriff's Office.

Other graduates with Cobb County ties included:
- Cobb County District Attorney Kimberly D. Crabtree-Isaza;
- Marietta Police Department Officers John J. Bisker IV, Michael S. Dames, and Jon R. Johnson; and
- Smyrna Police Department Officer Brendi B. Streifthau.
Paulding County Sheriff’s Deputy Nathaniel A. Hicks received the John Marchant Jr. Leadership Award, which is given to the elected class leader. Deputy Christopher M. Stafford, also with the Paulding County Sheriff's Office, was presented with the Distinguished Student Award.
