Free Kennesaw Women’s Personal Safety Workshop

Kennesaw Police officers will examine local area crime statistics, explore the legal rights and liberties women have in defending themselves, and discuss response strategies.

The Kennesaw Police Department and Fountain Gate Counseling Center are presenting a workshop called “Think Smart: Equipping Women for Personal Safety” on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 7 p.m. at the Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive, in Kennesaw.  

The workshop is free and open to women of all ages.                                                                         

At this workshop, officers from the Kennesaw Police Department will examine local area crime statistics to identify the most common threats; explore the legal rights and liberties women have in defending themselves; discuss common unsafe scenarios and determine the best response strategies; and provide tools to develop a personal safety plan.
