Gun Ownership, Safety Focus of Kennesaw Program

The class will be held March 9.

The Kennesaw Police Department is doing its part to educate residents on gun ownership and safety.

Officers will facilitate a gun safety class from 10 a.m. to noon March 9 at the Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Dr.

"The agenda will consist of ... basic firearms safety and Georgia gun laws," Office Scott Luther said in a news release. "Free gun locks will also be available while supplies last. Please do not bring any firearms or weapons to the class."
