Investigators found that Hollaman had a green light when she drove a blue 2006 Toyota Solara south along Roberts into the intersection just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. Abreus’ black 1996 Infiniti G20 headed westbound into the intersection along Barrett Parkway at the same time despite a red light, Pierce reported.

The Infiniti slammed into the driver’s door of the Toyota, sending both vehicles careening into the eastbound side of Barrett Parkway, where Hollaman’s car hit a red 1998 Ford Explorer stopped at the light.

Abreus complained of injury but chose not to be taken to the hospital, Pierce said.
