Kennesaw Man Dies in NE Cobb Crash
The single-car accident took place early Monday morning on Piedmont Road.
A Kennesaw man died early Monday morning in a single-car crash on Piedmont Road in Northeast Cobb.
Cobb Police Officer Michael Bowman identified the victim as Victor Kibogong, 36, of Kennesaw.
Bowman said that around 12:30 a.m. Monday, the driver of a silver 2004 Kia Optima was traveling west on Piedmont Road at Piedmont Enclave Court (near Shaw Road) when he lost control and struck the guardrail in the center median.

Police said the vehicle then went back across the westbound lanes and hit a tree near the northern shoulder of the road. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Bowman said.
Cobb Police are continuing to investigate the crash and ask that anyone with information should call 770-499-3987.
