A 56-year-old Kennesaw motorcyclist involved in a Wednesday night crash in Marietta has died.

About 10:35 p.m., the driver of a 2001 Mazda Millenia turned into the path of Michael A. Michael's 1980 Harley Davidson, which was traveling southbound on Cobb Parkway, said Officer David Auld with the Marietta Police Department.

The motorcycle struck the front of the Mazda, which was attempting a left turn from northbound Cobb Parkway to White Avenue, he said.

Michael was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Mazda was identified as Chevelle Gore, 21, of Powder Springs.

"This crash is still under investigation and charges are still pending," Auld said.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Officer Geoff Culpepper at 770-794-5357.
