Kennesaw Motorcyclist Killed in Southwest Cherokee Wreck

The fatal accident occurred just before 4 p.m. Friday on Bells Ferry Road south of Highway 92.

The Georgia State Patrol says a Kennesaw man was killed in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon on Bells Ferry Road at Bells Ferry Place just south of Highway 92 in southwest Cherokee County.

Charges are pending in the accident that took the life of a motorcyclist Carlisle Lucas Spencer, 30.

According to GSP spokesperson Gordy Wright, at around 3:55 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the two-vehicle accident, where preliminary reports indicate a motorcycle operated by Spencer was traveling southbound on Bells Ferry Road when it struck the right side of a Kia Sorento making a left turn onto Bells Ferry Place.

Spencer died while being transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

The driver of the Kia Sorento has been identified as Robert Emmett Flavin, 63, of Woodstock.

The accident remains under investigation.
