Kennesaw Woman Arrested in Shooting

A woman allegedly shot a man who may be her husband multiple times this morning in their Mountain Springs Court home.

Monday morning, Kennesaw police arrested a woman suspected of shooting a man who may be her husband.

Police were dispatched at 11:02 a.m. to the Mountain Springs Court house after receiving a 911 call from the woman. She came out to meet police upon their arrival, said Kennesaw Police Officer Scott Luther.

When officers entered the home, they found the male victim, who had been shot multiple times.

The man was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital and is currently in guarded condition, said Luther.

At about 2:30 p.m., police received a search warrant to further investigate the home.

The identities of the woman and man have not been released, and their relationship has not yet been confirmed.

They were wearing wedding rings, said Luther, but they have separate last names.

Luther said details are still unclear, as the woman has not given a statement, and the man is still in surgery.
