Kennesaw Woman Held at Gunpoint

A man suspected she was cheating on him.

A Kennesaw man allegedly held a gun to a woman's head while they looked "for evidence" that she was cheating on him.

Sometime between 7 and 11:29 a.m. Friday, Andrew Skipper Pate allegedly took the woman's 9 mm gun, held it to her head, and led her through her Monrovia Trail residence "so he could look for evidence of cheating," according to a Cobb County arrest warrant.

At some point, the woman called 911, records show.

When Kennesaw police arrived at the home in response to a 911 hang-up call, Pate allegedly threatened to shoot her if she opened the door, according to the warrant.

The warrant does not specify how Kennesaw police apprehended the man.

Pate was arrested late Friday on charges that include aggravated assault and false imprisonment. He is in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.
