Merry Hills Homeowner Confronts Burglars in the Act

The crime occurred in the 1400 block of Holly Lane on Monday morning.

A Merry Hills homeowner walked in on two burglars stealing electronics from her home Monday morning, DeKalb County police said.

The 35-year-old woman told police she returned to her home in the 1400 block of Holly Lane at about 10:20 a.m. and discovered a man walking out of her home, according to the police report. She told the suspect to leave.

"I'm going," he said.

The man walked up Holly Lane toward North Druid Hills Road and then cut between some houses, moving toward Target.

But when she turned around, another man exited her home, carrying several items, including a 20-inch computer, a camcorder and a digital camera. That man ran to the rear of her home.

No description of the suspects was given.

Since that is about the first question the police ask, how could it be that no description of the burglers was given?

This makes zero sense. Absolutely no sense.

It wasn't given on the police report. It also said specifically the victim could not provide a description of the second suspect.
