ICE Accidentally Deports Man, Sends Him Back
A Mableton man who was accidentally deported in March and then brought back to the U.S. now faces deportation again on Aug. 13. Supporters are holding a press conference about the situation Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Juan Carlos Guevara, a 2010 Pebblebrook High graduate, was hit by a drunk driver in June 2011.
When police arrived on the scene, Guevara was arrested for driving without a license.

Lawsuit: First Baptist Canton 'Enabled' Sexual Abuse
allowed a fired employee with a history of sexual misconduct against children to return to the church as a volunteer, a misstep that led to the sexual battery of a teenage boy, the parents of the victim allege in a civil suit.

The boy's parents are suing the church, senior pastor George Anderson and former church employee Shawn Finch, alleging that they not only failed to properly supervise the volunteer and the children in their care, but tried to "downplay" the abuse in a meeting at the church.

Man Charged in $85K Burglaries
Investigators have charged a Cartersville man in connection with four burglaries of facilities and the thefts of $85,000 in property.
Authorities served a search warrant Thursday at the Law Road home of Jesse Daniel Thacker, 34, seeking the allegedly stolen property, Sheriff Clark Millsap said in a news release. Following the search, investigators arrested and charged Thacker in connection with the four burglaries.

Fulton Conducting Recount in Sheriff's Race
The Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections is conducting a recount in the Fulton County Sheriff Democratic Primary. The recount began Wednesday morning at the Fulton County Election Preparation Center (1365 English Street, Atlanta, GA 30318) and is expected to take two days.
