Pastor Charged with Child Molestation, Sexual Battery

Pastor of the Congregation Church of God Seventh Day is accused of molesting a six-year-old girl while at church.

The Kennesaw Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for John Pinkston of Dallas on Wednesday, the Pastor of the Congregation Church of God Seventh Day located at 2751 S. Main St. in Kennesaw.

Pinkston is accused of molesting a six-year-old child, while at the church, between the dates of July 17 and Aug. 22. The child notified her parents and the parents contacted police.

After further investigation Pinkston was taken into custody and charged with felony child molestation and felony sexual battery. A $35,000 bond was issued.

The Kennesaw Police Department is asking that if anyone has any further information involving Pinkston to call 770-422-2505 and speak with a detective.
