RaceTrac, Walgreens Fail Tobacco Compliance Check

All 16 businesses checked by Kennesaw Police Saturday refused to sell alcohol to a minor.

Two Kennesaw businesses were issued citations for selling tobacco to a minor after police conducted a random alcohol and tobacco compliance check of 16 locations Saturday, according to a release from the .

The RaceTrac at 1625 Old Hwy 41 and the at 2779 N. Cobb Pkwy sold tobacco to an underage volunteer, according to the release.

All 16 businesses refused to sell alcohol to a minor.

β€œThis is great news," said Kennesaw Chief of Police Bill Westenberger. "We are very pleased to see that local businesses are taking the matter of underage sales seriously. We hope to soon see 100 percent compliance for the tobacco sales. The safety and wellness of the youth of the community is of great importance to us.”
