Two Charged in Kennesaw Burglaries

Darrel Bates and Christopher Lucas are being held without bond on burglary charges.

Warrants were secured Tuesday for two men charged with burglaries throughout Kennesaw.

said 53-year-old Darrel Bates of Conyers is charged with the burglary of Big Pie in the Sky on Jiles Road. He is being held at the Rockdale County Jail without bond.

According to jail records, Bates has been in the Rockdale jail since March 30 on charges of burglary and loitering and prowling.

Thirty-eight-year-old Christopher Lucas of Lindale is being held at the Floyd County Jail without bond. He is charged with burglary of the and on Cobb Parkway and could face more charges pending further investigation of similar crimes in the area, police said.

Jail records show Lucas was arrested Wednesday and is being held on 28 charges in Floyd County. He faces charges in Polk, Catoosa, Forsyth and Carroll counties, in addition to Cobb.
