Woman Faces Fraud Charges

The alleged incident took place at the Kennesaw Target.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of an Illinois woman who allegedly tried to purchase eight gift cards valued at $1,000 each from a Kennesaw Target with another person's credit card.

Marcella Smith of Orland Hills, Ill. allegedly used "an AT&T Universal Mastercard ... with (the) intent to defraud the cardholder," according to the warrant.

Smith successfully purchased six cards with the card, according to the warrant. Another transaction was declined.

She faces two counts of card fraud and one count of attempted card fraud.
