3K Ballots Cast in Cobb Advance Voting
Advance voting continues through Friday, July 27, ahead of Georgia's July 31 primary election.
The Cobb County Board of Elections reported that 2,955 people participated in the first five days of advance voting that began Monday, July 9. Of those voting, 2,383 were Republicans, 432 were Democrats and 140 voted non-partisan.
The Georgia primary is Tuesday, July 31.
The Board has also issued 5,799 mail-in ballots: 4,086 Republican, 1,299 Democrat and 414 non-partisan.

Board of Elections Director Janine Eveler called these numbers “pretty much” typical for a primary election.
Advance voting continues through Friday, July 27, at the Cobb Board of Elections Office at 736 Whitlock Ave. in Marietta. Polls are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
