Busbee Park and Ride Gets Vehicle Charging Stations

They will promote Cobb Community Transit ridership from electric vehicle commuters.

Eight electric vehicle charging stations have been installed at Cobb Community Transit locations in Kennesaw and Marietta to promote CCT ridership from electric vehicle commuters.

Four stations each were installed at the Busbee Park and Ride and the Marietta Transfer Center as part of a U.S. Department of Energy-funded program called the EV Project, according to a statement on CCT's website.

About 14,000 commercial and residential charging stations will be installed in 18 major cities in six states through the EV Project.

The stations in Kennesaw and Marietta recharge electric vehicle batteries in two to six hours, according to the statement.
