City Council to Ratify Election Results

Members will also look at a vegetable garden project at Smith-Gilbert Gardens at tonight's 6:30 meeting.

The will meet today at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at and will have a variety of items on the agenda, which is included with this article. The public is encouraged to attend.

The City Council will ratify the certified results of the Winners were incumbents for mayor, for Post 1 councilwoman and for Post 2 councilman. The council also will ratify the results of the referendum on Sunday alcohol sales, which passed with 73 percent of the vote.

The council will also discuss a program at called the Gather 'n' Grow vegetable garden. It will consist of a demonstration area, small plots in raised beds for rentals by families and various interactive elements for all ages.

According to the agenda item, the mission of the garden project is to give opportunities to explore sustainable, responsible gardening. The project is scheduled to be unveiled in March.
