Upcoming Meeting on Pawn Shop Issue

The meeting will take place Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Ben Robertson Community Center.

The city is seeking input from community members on what should be done about up for business at the Mack Dobbs Point strip mall.

Kennesaw city officials admit a mistake was made when was allowed to open there this year, despite a 2004 agreement prohibiting pawn shops from the property.

Now, city officials are weighing possible solutions to the matter, which has been brought to light by Kennesaw resident Bill Harris.

Officials with the City Manager's Office and Planning and Zoning Department have invited Summer Brooke and Summer Stream residents who live near the property, along with other concerned community members, to attend a meeting on the matter this Monday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the .
