Cobb Court Officials Return to Classroom

A new program is intended to give students a behind the scenes view of the court system.

Cobb County Superior Court judges and other representatives are heading back to the classroom.

The free "From the Court to the Classroom" program was developed in response "to the current economic hardships our school system has endured in recent years," according toprogram's website.

Here's how it works:

1. Complete a registration form.
2. Send the completed form to 770-528-1883 or court2you@cobbcounty.org.
3. The court will dispatch a representative of your choice to your school.

From drug treatment court to jury services, that representative will cover a variety of topics.

"This one on one experience will provide your group with the knowledge of court structure and procedure, which will greatly enhance any curriculum, especially those discussing civil government and the judiciary," according to the program's website.
