Goreham Town Hall Tonight

District 1 Commissioner Helen Goreham will host a town hall tonight at 7 in the squad room of the Cobb Department of Transportation at 1890 County Services Pkwy. in Marietta.

On the heels of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners' regarding a $31 million deficit, community members will have the opportunity to voice their opinions to District 1 Commissioner Helen Goreham during a town hall meeting tonight at 7.

Under the budget plan voted on last Tuesday, there will be no tax increase and all Cobb libraries will remain open, despite Chair Tim Lee's earlier announced plan to shut down 13 of 17 of the county's libraries. However, each department will suffer a 10 percent cut, and all county employees will be required to take five furlough days.

Goreham represents northwest Cobb, including Kennesaw. The meeting will take place in the squad room of  the Cobb Department of Transportation at 1890 County Services Pkwy in Marietta.
