Jenkins Earns Certificate of Excellence

He received the honor at the Georgia Municipal Association's Annual Mayors' Day Conference.

Councilmember Bruce Jenkins was recognized for earning the Georgia Municipal Training Institute’s Certificate of Excellence at the Georgia Municipal Association’s Annual Mayors’ Day Conference in Atlanta on January 27. The certificate requires completion of a minimum of 120 units of credit including nine required courses. The entire training program consists of a series of more than 40 six-unit courses.

“This is an outstanding achievement,” said GMA Executive Director Lamar Norton. “We commend Councilmember Jenkins for his accomplishment and for the dedication he has shown in using this valuable resource to become a more effective city official.”

Based in Atlanta, GMA is a voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy, research, training, employee benefit and technical consulting services to its 500 member cities.
