Kennesaw's Mayor Pro-Tem Accepts National Appointment

Jeff Duckett will serve on the Small Cities Council.

Kennesaw Councilmember Jeff Duckett has accepted an appointment as a member of the National League of Cities (NLC) Small Cities Council for 2013. The council is made up of NLC member cities that have a population of less than 50,000. Members work to insure that the interests of small communities are reflected in NLC’s overall policies. The council provides a forum for sharing ideas and best practices among smaller communities and meets twice a year as well as by conference call if needed.

“I’m looking forward to connecting with the representatives of other small cities to learn about the challenges and issues they are facing,” said Duckett. “Being more well informed will help me be a better advocate for the policies, programs, and initiatives others have found to be successful.”
