Killingsworth Appointed to National Committee

He'll serve on the university communities council, which discusses the opportunities and challenges of living in a college town.

Kennesaw Councilmember Tim Killingsworth has accepted an appointment as a member of the National League of Cities University Communities Council for 2013. Members of the council discuss problems and opportunities involving economic development, transportation, housing and neighborhood concerns, and sustainability which are unique to university communities. The group meets several times a year as well as by conference call if needed.

“The growth of Kennesaw State University offers us many opportunities as well as a few challenges,” said Killingsworth. “I’m looking forward to trading experiences and hearing the success stories of other university communities in similar situations. Membership in this group gives me a great forum for networking and information sharing.”
