Patch Reminders: Town Hall Meeting, Citizen Advisory Group

Here's a friendly reminder of important upcoming events over the next few days.

- Tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 17, the City of Kennesaw will hold a Town Hall meeting at from 6-8 p.m. Mayor Mark Mathews will update constituents on the state of the city and answer questions from the public. City Manager Steve Kennedy and his department heads will also be in attendance. Members of the public are highly encouraged to attend.

- Friday, Feb. 18, is the last day to volunteer for the city's Citizen Advisory Group, a cross-section of residents who will provide input on local issues and programs. If interested in volunteering, call 770-429-4544.

- An online calendar survey by the Cobb County School Board closes Thursday at 1 p.m. Vote online for your school-year calendar preference. The Board will meet Thursday to discuss the results and consider changing the calendar.

- Saturday, Feb. 19, join the City of Kennesaw for its Grand Opening Celebration of a for at-risk teens. Tour the center and meet staff and volunteers from 4-7 p.m. at 2775 South Main Street in downtown Kennesaw.
