Smith-Gilbert Gardens Accredited

It is now recognized amongst other professional public gardens in the Morton Register of Arboreta.

Smith-Gilbert Gardens has been awarded a Level I Accreditation through the ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program and is now recognized amongst other professional public gardens in the Morton Register of Arboreta, a database of 500 tree-focused public gardens. ArbNet is an interactive community that supports professional exchange and collaboration and is sponsored and coordinated by The Morton Arboretum.

Smith-Gilbert Gardens received accreditation by achieving particular standards of professional practices deemed important for arboreta and botanic gardens. Different levels of accreditation are earned through various degrees of development, capacity, and professionalism.

Located at 2382 Pine Mountain Road in Kennesaw, Smith-Gilbert Gardens features 16 acres of serene setting with over 3,000 species of plants, several rare in American gardens, united by woodland paths. The Gardens consist of separate groupings with individual elements of fascination, including the Bonsai Exhibit, Palladino Camellia Garden, tea house and waterfall area, Rose Garden, and Conifer Display. Visit SmithGilbertGardens.com for hours of operation, admission and tour information, a listing of classes, and membership opportunities.
