Killingsworth to Seek Re-Election

Tim Killingsworth announces through a press release that he will run again for the Kennesaw City Council.

Tim Killingsworth has announced his candidacy for re-election to the this fall.

Killingsworth, a retired U.S. Marine, was first elected to the City Council in 2008. As Killingsworth nears the completion of his first term, he believes the time is right to seek re-election.

"I have had four very successful years as a city councilman, and I believe that my experience in the military, as a small-business owner, and local government official have provided me with a unique perspective and skill set to continue to help move the city forward," Killingsworth said.

Killingsworth said Kennesaw is at a pivotal point in its history. "What occurs in the next five to 10 years in terms of how we deal with our most pressing issues will affect the quality of life for Kennesaw residents for many generations."

He said that, if the voters of Kennesaw elect him to a second term, he will focus on creative solutions to help ease the transportation issues plaguing the city and continue to be a watchdog for fiscal restraint. He said he will also develop and support business initiatives to recruit and retain jobs in the Kennesaw area.
