USS Obama is listing badly -

Political Opinion

Wednesday, June 5

Mr. Obama continues with his exercise of extremely poor judgment with the latest shift of players in Washington.

Now the clueless UN Ambassador and talk show shill for Obama, Susan Rice, moves into the position of National Security Advisor.  A post that requires no Senate confirmation.

The motivation for such change may well be in part to take the 3 recent scandals off the front pages for a few days and also to poke a finger in the eye of the Republicans who universally dislike Ms. Rice and her repeated Benghazi lies.

Always willing to find work for his Chicago Daley machine pals we now find that perhaps moving into the soon to be vacant UN position is Samantha Power, former campaign worker for the Obama election and the wife of long time Obama pal from his Chicago law school faculty days, Sunstein Power.

Mrs. Power comes to her Senate confirmation hearings with considerable baggage, including likening U.S. foreign policies to those of the Nazis.  In some Democratic circles she is not flavor of the day either, having said of Mrs Clinton:  "She is a monster, too -- that is off the record -- she is stooping to anything," Power told The Scotsman, which published the comment which she later apologized for but was forced to leave the Obama election campaign.

This recent reshuffling of the deck chairs on the sinking USS Obama will probably impact all future nominations which require Senate approval including of course Mrs Power but also the recently announced nominations for 3 U.S. Court of Appeals positions for the District of Columbia.

These nominations were already in trouble but Ms. Millett, Ms. Pillard and Mr. Wilkins will surely
now face even greater scrutiny in their confirmation hearings with the newly enraged Republicans out to deny any and all Obama appointments.

You have to wonder if those giving advice to Obama are really closet Republican or if Mr. Obama is just that clueless and comes up with these ideas on his own.

Commentary FYI:

Before the recent spate of Obama scandals
Democratic Insiders had opined that they expected gains in both houses of Congress at the bi-elections. Now they acknowledge that they expect to lose 2 Senate and 15 House seats. I think that is a bit low but we will have to wait and see.
