Allatoona Hosts North Cobb for Preseason High School Football

Scrimmage game ushers in new stadium seating and new field for the Allatoona Buccaneers.

The 2011 High School football season gets underway in just a week, and in preparation for that, the Warriors (Region 4-AAAAA) traveled to (Region 7B-AAA) for a preseason scrimmage with the Buccaneers.

Allatoona has just completed a phase of additions to its football stadium. A new turf field paid for by SPLOST III dollars approved by voters in 2008 and an entire set of new bleachers on the home side of the field were just completed about a week ago. The Buccaneers have practiced on the new field for just five days.

Both teams came out looking very offense-oriented.
