Cobb Considers Changes at Alternative School

District leaders have scheduled two public hearings to get feedback from area residents.

by Rodney Thrash

The Cobb County School District is considering a plan to convert Oakwood High Schoolfrom an alternative education school to a digital academy.

However, district leaders want to hear from the public first. That is why Cobb officials this afternoon announced the dates and times of two public hearings at the Oakwood campus activity room, 1560 Joyner Ave., Marietta.

The first hearing will be held Aug. 6. The second will be held Aug. 8. Both hearings are expected to run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
