You don't need to have a lot of money or expertise to start a collection that will give you years of pleasure. This session gives practical hints on how to get started, what kinds of books people collect, and how to build a good collection.

DRAWINGS FOR GIFT CERTIFICATES - Hourly drawings will take place during the fair for $50 Gift Certificates which can be used at the fair.
DISCOVERY DAY - Ticketed visitors can bring their own rare books, manuscripts, maps, etc. (up to 5 items) to Discovery Day, Saturday, June 11, Noon – 2pm. Exhibitors will be on hand to offer expert advice and free appraisals.
THE ROBERT C. WILLIAMS PAPER MUSEUM EXHIBIT-Museum staff will offer visitors a rare opportunity to view a selection of Dard Hunter’s original handmade limited edition books as well as unique artifacts and papers from the permanent collection. In addition to their beauty and rarity, these volumes, represent the work of the man who was responsible for introducing an American renaissance in the crafts of hand papermaking, printing and bookmaking. The Robert C. Williams Paper Museum is home to the Dard Hunter collection, and is the most comprehensive collection of paper and paper-related artifacts in the world.
