LaunchPad2X is intentionally designed exclusively for women-led businesses.  Women are outpacing men in launching companies, while women-led and women-owned businesses remain smaller and trail in growth.  “Our goal is to reverse this trend by enhancing the skills and resources of women in entrepreneurial leadership roles, presenting them to potential investors and igniting growth in their companies,” said Bernie Dixon, Founder and CEO of Advising Angels and Executive-In-Residence at Coles College of Business who partnered with her in the creation of the LaunchPad2X Program.

Participants will be paired with experienced advisors to help guide them through the process of getting "investor-ready." The three sessions will cover a range of developmental courses addressing business strategy, tactics with investors, and adopting a CEO-leadership style.

A panel of supporters and business leaders will engage in the program and review applications for acceptance. Supporters include: Advising Angels, Frazier & Deeter, Morris Manning & Martin, Merrill Lynch, PNC Bank, Cooks Warehouse, Write2Market, GH Consulting Group, the Metro Atlanta Chamber and other key businesses in the Southeast U.S. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.

LaunchPad2X will take place on Sept. 18, Oct. 2, and Oct. 25, 2012. Selected applicants will attend sessions at various Atlanta locations providing participants an opportunity to interact with the local business community.

“We are pleased to be a part of such a robust program where we are able to unite entrepreneurs with the services, advice and support they require to grow their business.  As the business community coalesces around this class of female entrepreneurs, the economic benefits will be realized and multiply,” said Ann McDonald, Director of Business Development at Morris, Manning and Martin LLP.
