Parents of special-needs students are invited to a night of information sessions on how to navigate Cobb County schools and the educational challenges along the way. Acworth Mayor Tommy Allegood will speak to the group, then parents will be able to attend as many as three of eight 20-minute sessions on topics such as assistive technology, reading and math strategics, and test taking. Some are for all parents; others target elementary, middle or high school parents. Coffee and desserts will be provided, and child care will be available.
