Museum 'Will Become' KSU Arts Hub

The 9,200-square-foot museum Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art is expected to open in fall 2013.

Kennesaw State University today broke ground on a $3 million art museum that will house the university's permanent art collection and include three exhibition galleries.

The 9,200-square-foot museum Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art "will become the hub of the Arts District on campus, providing a welcoming center that physically connects the corridor between the concert hall of the Bailey Perofrmance Center and the two theaters," College of Arts Dean Joseph Meeks said in a statement. "Students and the community will be able to partake in multiple arts experiences on every visit to campus."

The museum, which is expected to open in fall 2013, is named after retired businessman Bernard Zuckerman, who provided $2 million for the project.
