Kennesaw Mountain High School Band Gets Prestigious Invite
The percussion ensemble will perform at the 2013 Midwest Clinic.
Only two high school chamber ensembles are invited to perform at the annual Midwest Clinic in Chicago, and Kennesaw Mountain percussionists learned on Tuesday that they will be headed to the Windy City.
"The Midwest Clinic is considered the most prestigious music convention at which you can perform in the world," David McGrath, Kennesaw Mountain's director of bands, said in a Facebook announcement.
The percussion ensemble submitted a recording and application last month, and received the official invitation to perform on Tuesday.

The clinic will be held Dec. 18-21.
