Kennesaw Mountain in Odyssey of the Mind World Finals
OM is the largest creative problem-solving competition in the world.
Two Cobb County schools are competing in the world's largest creative-problem solving competition, and one of them is in Kennesaw.
Kennesaw Mountain High School is among the more than 800 teams headed to the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, scheduled for May 22-25 at Michigan State University.
Through critical thinking, out-of-the-box approaches and teamwork, contestants have eight minutes to perfect solutions to problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They must develop their own theme, script, characters and props.

Kennesaw Mountain will compete in The Email Must Go Through category. Dickerson Middle School in East Cobb will compete in the ARTchitecture: The Musical category.
Last year, Kennesaw's Bullard Elementary represented Georgia at the 2012 World Finals.
