A $10,750 grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety will help Kennesaw State University educate students about the effects of drinking and driving.
KSU's Center for Health Promotion and Wellness will use the money to participate in the Georgia Young Adult Program, which is geared toward colleges and universities throughout the state.
"The long-term goal of the program is to create safer, more healthy campus environments," the university said in a statement.
Through peer education, the Georgia Young Adult Program participants learn about alcohol education, alcohol abuse prevention, impaired driving, underage drinking, risk reductions and other destructive decisions.
