Making Prom Affordable for All

Stop by the Prom Dress Consignment Sale at Allatoona High School this weekend to help more teens enjoy prom.

in Acworth will hold its Second Annual Prom Dress Consignment Sale this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event was founded in 2011 by Allatoona student Nina Brante, who's the President and Founder of Strength in Stilettos, and student Paige Smith. The goal of the dress sale is to make prom affordable and memorable for all.

Last year the event had more than 300 dresses available for purchase, and proceeds were donated to local school programs.

Girls were able to sell last year’s dress to earn cash and shop for “new” dresses. Sellers can choose to donate any unsold dresses to Becca’s Closet, a non-profit that provides prom dresses to needy girls.
