For Warriors, Heartbreak

In a high-scoring semifinal contest, Lovejoy bested North Cobb High.

North Cobb High School Friday night fell just short of advancing to its first state title game in more than 50 years.

In a high-scoring Class AAAAAA contest, Lovejoy bested North Cobb 63-42.

It was a record-setting season for the Warriors. North Cobb had not won a postseason game since 1979. This year, the Warriors made it all the way to the semifinals after victories over Valdosta, Hughes and Mill Creek.
