North Cobb Students to Collect Change for Cancer Research

Fundraiser will take place during Friday football game.

North Cobb High School students will raise money in honor of childhood cancer patients during their home football game against McEachern High School this Friday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m.

For a second year, NCHS student Megan McMillan, along with other International Studies Magnet students, has organized a change collection fundraiser for Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research.

4 Quarters 4 Research will honor Rally Kids Alexa Rohrbach and Krystal Anderson. Rally Kids are children who have fought or are fighting cancer.

“I wanted to do this to create awareness about childhood cancer, Rally and in memory of my friend, Alexa who I met in kindergarten,” McMillan said. “She lost her fight to cancer during 6th grade and I miss her but I know she is smiling down on me.”

By collecting change, 4 Quarters 4 Research offers a tool for communities to raise funds for childhood cancer research. For more information, visit RallyFoundation.org.
