Police Remind Drivers of School Safety

School starts Monday in Kennesaw, and pedestrians will abound.

 School will be back in session on Monday, so the is asking everyone to be mindful of traffic safety:

-          Be sure to reduce speed in posted school zones.

-          Watch for extra pedestrian traffic, especially around schools and neighborhood bus stops.

-          Always stop for school buses loading and unloading students.

-          Watch for officers and school personnel directing traffic.

-           Expect additional traffic volume, so allow for extra travel time.

The safety of students, parents and school staff is a priority for the police department, so officers will be increasing patrols/traffic enforcement in school zones and neighborhoods.
